A Word to the Singers:
Tallulah is
a nonsensical, novelty song. The word
Tallulah was chosen by the composer simply to serve as a textual vehicle
for the music. As you will be able to tell when you view and listen to it online, it is an
up-tempo, "let's have fun" type of piece. To enhance the performance
and to make it more intriguing for the audience, it is recommended that
it be performed with choralography or choreography. Directors may
make the movement as simple or complicated as they choose. The music
lends itself to comical gestures and body movement. In fact, it doesn't
hurt to be ridiculous! You'll love this piece. Have fun singing
and performing it.
