The music to Adolescence
is traditional and ageless in style, but the lyrics take us back
to the seventies when life was a bit simpler and early adolescents were less
sophisticated; a time when kids bleached their blue jeans and wore tee shirts with clever sayings, instead of free commercial ads.
This is a choral song cycle of five short pieces written in four-part variable
voicing, each describes a unique characteristics of adolescents. It
gives young people an opportunity to laugh at themselves.
