This three-part arrangement of the
traditional spiritual will be easy to learn because each part is a melody and
directors may make it as long or short as desired by choosing as many of the
five stanzas they want to sing. This piece should be taken at a rather slow
tempo so it may be used to teach how to sing in legato style, be sensitive to
the meaning of the lyrics, and be expressive with the music.
