Ave Verum Corpus

This masterwork has been adapted for singing
groups containing changing voices. An attempt has been made to maintain the
authenticity of the work with only enough changes to conform to the range and
tessitura limitations of early adolescent singers. The arrangement also may be
sung by high school, college, and adult choirs who have an abundance of women
and just a few men. There are three parts written in the treble clef and one in
the bass clef. The men’s part is a nice compromise between the tenor and bass
ranges. Choir directors will find that better balance can be achieved than that
which occurs when treble-heavy groups attempt to sing SATB voicing.
