teach your singers how to initiate a long, legato line. The phrases will
be exactly what they need to put their breathing technique into action.
This is a simplified version of the great chorus from Messiah. but it
will be challenging enough for young singers to gain a healthy respect for
Handel and his work as they live with this piece in learning and performing it.
It is well within their ability as mid-level singers and it will be very
gratifying to them after they have conquered it.
