Come, Thou Fount of Every
Blessing
is a easy piece written specifically for groups containing changing
voices, but it is appropriate for all ages. There are two parts, both
written in the treble clef. It is designated variable voicing,
so the piece may be sung by a treble chorus or a mixed chorus with
cambiatas (boys in the first phase of change)., This is a revised
edition with more appropriate ranges and singable parts than the
original. The accompaniment is easy enough to be played by a student
accompanist. Since this is a hymn arrangement and sacred in nature,
it is best suited for church youth choirs or private denominational
schools.
The music is a Southern
melody from the Sacred Harp tradition
The text is by Robert
Robinson
Arranged by Don L. Collins
