HOW TO
USE THIS PIECE
The Pirate Don Durk of Dowdee
This is a setting of Mildred Plew
Merryman’s delightful 19th century poem by the same name. It is a great
novelty piece creatively set to music by David Peninger. This unique and
crowd pleasing novelty piece requires a moderate to excellent pianist and
singers with relatively strong musical skills. It will take a little
effort to learn, but the result will be gratifying. The descriptive lyrics
will prime the imagination of any singer.
