HOW TO USE THIS PIECE

All for One World

(click the title to view and hear online)

All for One World is a super-easy piece written specifically for groups containing changing voices, but it is appropriate for all ages.  The melody has only five tones (do, re, mi, so, & la) set in the area of the voice that is comfortable for boy and girl trebles, cambiatas, and adolescent baritones to sing together.  Is is first presented to be sung in unison followed by a presentation to be sung as a canon.  The accompaniment is easy enough to be played by a student accompanist.  The inclusive text is appropriate almost any time of the year but it is particularly suitable to emphasize race relations and good will among people.  It even makes a great Quanza, Hanukkah, or Christmas, piece.  If you use The Adolescent Reading Singer to teach musicianship, this piece is appropriate literature to sing after studying phase three.
