A Sea Song
(click title to view and

Songs about the sea have always
appealed to young men, particularly if they were reared with the sea nearby.
Harry Swenson has taken a 19th century English poem by Alan Cunningham and
skillfully set it to music. It will stir the heart of any seaman, no
matter the age. Plus, it may supply food for the imaginations of all young
man, even if they were reared on the great plains. This particular
arrangement is best suited for all-boys groups with changing voices,
although it may be sung by mixed groups as well.
