This two- or three-part arrangement of the traditional spiritual will be easy to learn because each part is a melody and there are an abundance of unison notes.  The short eight measure melody is set four different ways with nice tempo changes.  However, many of the same melodic motives are used throughout, reinforcing the idea of the quick learning time. This is an excellent piece to use with students who are experiencing part singing for the first time.  The two-part or three-part variable voicing charts indicates how to use the piece with different age groups.
