The
Star Spangled Banner
The Star Spangled Banner
is written in
Four-Part
Variable Voicing so it may be sung by early adolescents as SSCB or
SACB, by older adolescents as SSAB, SSAT, or SSA/Boys or by adults as SSAB,
SSAT, or SSA/Men. Although it is a standard four-part design, there
are several unison and two-part passages which make the piece easy to sing.
It should be performed with vigor and energy. It is supported by a
rip-roaring piano accompaniment which compliments the over-all patriotic style.
