Steal Away to Jesus

 

This is a spiritual medley, but not in the sense that the singers move from one spiritual to the next.  The spirituals are innovatively woven into each other.  The arrangement is based on Steal Away to Jesus, but intertwined within it are Lord, I Want to be a Christian, Every time I Feel the Spirit, and Somebody's Knocking at My Door.  It has a really cool accompaniment set brightly at a metronome marking of 120, so it moves right along.  The students will love this piece for its up tempo and ingenuity.
