This original
composition by Margaret McKinney Baker is a perfect work for the Christmas (Winter) concert.
With it's unique barbershop harmonic structure and style, it will be a favorite. The rhythmic, arpeggiated piano accompaniment
serves to enhance this work. The lyrics describe the
angels announcement of the birth of the Christ-child and the shepherds arrival at the stable.
The work is
written to be sung by all-male groups, but is may be sung by mixed groups as
