This arrangement of this
well known American spiritual was conceived in contrapuntal style. The
first stanza has a nice soprano descant above the traditional melody.
Stanza two is a bit like a fugal tune with staggered entrances and the last
stanza places the melody in Part II and accompanies it with countermelodies
above and below the melody. It is up-tempo and fun to sing. Access
