Drink to Me Only is a
popular English song with lyrics written by Ben
Jonson in a poem, To Celia (1616). The music of unknown
origin is considered to have been written in the latter part of the eighteenth
century. It has played a vital role in American song literature for many
years and was especially popular during the early part of the twentieth
century. This arrangement is particularly suitable for all-boys choral
groups to be sung with two-part voicing as TB (T = treble) or CB. The
three-part voicing may be sung TCB or CCB. Check the
two-part or
three-part variable voicing charts to see the other voicings with which it may
be sung.
