Three-Part   Four-part

 

This novelty piece is a medley of three of Stephen Foster’s 19th century popular songs, including Oh, Susanna, Camptown Races, and Beautiful Dreamer.  It is written in three-part voicing with an optional Part IV. It can be performed acappella or with very accessible piano accompaniment.

The first two "American heritage" songs are followed with arguably Foster’s most beautiful composition, Beautiful Dreamer. This would be a great piece to have on a concert featuring important works by American composers.
