This piece is a prime example of melody-plus composition style.  There are four parts each of which has its own text.  Each part is presented alone and then combined in duets and finally all four parts together.  There is little question that adolescents are partial to friday night's football games.  Spencer uses their enchantment with getting together at the game to draw them into the song.  The up-tempo, vivacious style also helps to capture them.  If you listen closely, you might hear a bit of Mozart in the accompaniment.  She uses the light allegro dancing classical style to give the piece it vitality.
